Police are searching for suspects after a Cannington woman suffered serious injuries when an object went through the windshield of a vehicle she was in.

“The victim was in a vehicle in the area of Cameron Street and Albert Street in Cannington when on object was thrown and pierced the windshield of the vehicle,” reads a media release.

Any witnesses to the incident are asked to contact police.

“Police are also asking anyone that has video footage, including dashcam and home surveillance to contact police,” the media release reads.

The mother of the 18-year-old made a heartfelt plea on social media over the weekend.

“I am very lucky I am sitting here writing this instead of writing her obituary. She sustained several serious injuries including two brain bleeds, a fractured skull, the whole right side of her face is fractured and broken, a couple breaks on the left side of her face, three chipped teeth and a severely broken hand/finger which she had surgery for 2 days ago,” the post reads.
“The reason for this post is not for sympathy but to ask if anyone has information about what happened or who the monster is that did this to my little girl.”
