Port Perry resident claims top prize in lottery

Seven might be Dennis Bartley’s lucky number.

The Port Perry resident recently won $77,777 after claiming the top prize with INSTANT DIAMOND 7s.

Bartley, a retired machine operator, said that he has been a regular lottery player for over 25 years.

“I love INSTANT games. This ticket was purchased by my wife – it was a random pick at the store,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect his winnings.

“I was in the sunroom with my wife playing our tickets. I announced we had a winner, but I hadn’t revealed the prize amount yet. When I did, we were shocked! We celebrated with a cheers!”

He plans to pay off some bills and plan a trip somewhere warm to celebrate with his wife.

“My wife always said she wanted to give me a winning ticket. It’s a blessing.”

The winning ticket was purchased at Sunny’s Gas & Variety on Scugog Street in Port Perry.
