
Police are searching for a suspect following an attempted robbery at an Uxbridge business.
According to the DRPS, officers were called to the Telus Mobility store on Toronto Street in Uxbridge shortly before 5:30 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 24).
“A male suspect tried to gain access into the commercial premise while armed with a metal object and what appeared to be a firearm,” reads a media release.
“The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival. The male was last seen running through the Uxbridge Cemetery, near Cemetery Road.”
The suspect is described as a black male between the ages of 15 and 20.
He wore all black clothing and had a backpack, police noted.
Investigators are appealing to anyone with dash-cam or surveillance video in this area at the time of the incident.
