Update: Police say the collision involved a motorcycle and a SUV. Sadly, the driver of the motorcycle has been pronounced dead. “The intersection of Concession Rd A and Ramara Road 47 in Ramara Township will be closed for several hours. Please avoid the area,” reads a social media post from the OPP.

A stretch of Highway 12 has been closed following a collision near Gamebridge Friday (Aug. 5) afternoon.

While few details have been released, a social media post from the OPP notes that the highway has been closed between Ramara Concession Road A and Regional Road 15 (Simcoe St).

Ramara Road 47 has also been closed between between Ramara Concession Road 1 and Concession Road B.

“Emergency services on scene,” the post reads.
