
A murder suspect was tracked down and arrested in Kirkfield overnight.
According to the DRPS, officers were called to Regatta Crescent in Whitby for a stabbing call shortly after 3:30 p.m. Wednesday (July 13).
“Police found the male victim with life-threatening injuries,” reads a media release.
“The male was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre where he was later pronounced dead as a result of the injuries he sustained.”
Police say the suspect fled in a vehicle but was later located at a trailer park in Kirkfield and arrested without incident.
Zachary Gibson, 41, of Whitby, has been charged with first degree murder.
