
An Aurora resident is facing numerous charges, including assault with a weapon, following an incident at a Ramara marina over the weekend.
According to the OPP, officers were dispatched to a complaint at the marina around 3:45 Sunday (July 10).
Police say a seadoo operator was not following no wake policies in the marina and allegedly struck another vessel following a verbal disagreement.
“Police located the operator in the water nearby and subsequently arrested the operator. They were transported to the OPP detachment for further investigation,” reads a media release.
Andray Wool, 46, of Aurora, has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs; operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus); dangerous operation; obstruct peace officer; assault with a weapon; mischief under $5,000 and fail to stop after accident.
The operator was also charged under the Highway Traffic Act and Canada Shipping Act.
They were released on an undertaking.
