
An Oshawa resident is facing numerous charges following a break-in at a Port Perry home earlier this month.
According to the DRPS, investigators executed a search warrant at an Oshawa residence as part of a break and enter investigation and recovered a number of stolen items, including Dewalt tools, fishing equipment, patio furniture and other items.
“Police identified a suspect and he was arrested and faces numerous charges,” reads a media release.
Aaron Clague, 50, of Oshawa has been charged with break and enter; possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000; theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
He was held for a bail hearing.
The theft occurred the afternoon of June 2.
“A U-Haul was captured on video surveillance attending the home and stealing over $100,000 worth of jewelry, fishing gear and a patio set. The lone suspect was also observed stealing a bbq from a nearby residence,” reads a media release.
