Two facing charges after police recover stolen excavator, RV in Uxbridge

Two people are facing charges after police reportedly recovered a stolen excavator and RV in Uxbridge.

According to the DRPS, officers began investigating thefts of equipment in April and May of this year.

“Investigators executed a search warrant at an address on Uxbridge Concession Road 2,” reads a media release.

“Police seized an excavator, construction tools and a RV with a value of approximately $100,000.”

Police say that two suspects were arrested during the execution of the search warrant, with a third still sought.

Wayne Steele, 41 of Uxbridge has been charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. He was released on an undertaking.

Eric Gregory, , age 41 of Uxbridge has been charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000; break and enter; theft over $5,000 and fail to comply. He was held for a bail hearing.
