
Police are investigating after a 16-year-old boy was struck and killed by a tractor trailer in Oshawa Thursday (May 19).
According to the DRPS, officersresponded to a report of a cyclist being struck by a tractor trailer at the intersection of Simcoe Street South and Wentworth Street West shortly after 7:15 p.m.
“The 16-year-old cyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the transport truck remained at the scene and cooperated with investigating officers,” a media release reads.
The roads in the area were closed for several hours for the police investigation, which is ongoing.
