
A 23-year-old Oshawa woman has been charged after allegedly luring a 15-year-old boy online.
According to the DRPS, investigators from the Child Exploitation Unit began an investigation after receiving information about the online luring of a youth from Oklahoma.
“(The) DRPS was assisted by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Homeland Security Investigations in locating and safeguarding the victim,” reads a media release.
The suspect was arrested on Thursday (May 12).
Courtney Cross-Robinson, 23, has been charged with luring to facilitate the commission of accessing child pornography, exposure to person under 16 and accessing and possession of child pornography.
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
“Investigators want to ensure there are no other victims,” the media release reads.
“The suspect was previously employed in an organization which dealt with youths aged 15 to 17. The offences occurred over several social media platforms.”
The Usernames associated to this investigation include; ‘dragonqueen’, ‘drnkcookiemonsta’ and ‘court123_always,’ police noted.
