
A motorist has been charged with impaired driving after being stopped at a RIDE check in Lindsay Tuesday (April 26) evening.
According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, officers stopped the vehicle on Angeline Street North shortly after 6:35 p.m.
“While speaking with the driver, the officer observed alcohol in the vehicle that was readily available to the driver,” reads a media release from police.
“The officer determined that the driver was impaired by alcohol and placed him under arrest.”
Jeffery Ott, 37, of Cameron has been charged with operation while impaired and operation while prohibited.
The accused is scheduled to appear in Lindsay court on June 2.
