
Police are searching for a suspect following a robbery at a Lindsay business.
According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, officers were called to a convenience store on William Street North shortly before 9 a.m. Wednesday (April 20) regarding a robbery that had just occurred.
“The suspect approached the counter, brandished a weapon demanding money and cigarettes from the clerk before leaving the store,” reads a media release from police.
No physical injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as white, approximately 5’8” in height, with a medium build. He entered the store wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a “Zoo York” logo, grey sweatpants, and a black facemask.
“A lone male suspect was last seen exiting the store running eastbound on Wellington Street,” the media release reads.
Some of the clothing worn by the suspect were found by officers searching the area, police noted.
