Kirkfield motorist charged following traffic stop in Brechin

A Kirkfield motorist is facing charges following a traffic stop in Brechin.

According to the OPP, an officer stopped a pickup truck shortly before 5 p.m. on Saturday (April 9) due to safety concerns about the vehicle.

“Upon speaking with the driver, police learned that he was a suspended driver since 1982,” reads a media release.

The 82-year-old driver, whose name has not been released, was charged with drive unsafe motor vehicle and three counts of drive while under suspension.

“His vehicle was subsequently seized and towed,” reads the media release.
