
Two people have been charged following a reported theft from a Lindsay business.
According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, officers were called to a Kent Street West business in Lindsay for a report of theft just before 2 p.m. Sunday (March 27).
“Loss prevention staff at the store had witnessed as a male and female conceal a number of items in shopping bags before leaving the store without paying for the items,” reads a media release.
“They left the store parking lot in a vehicle which was located and stopped by police.”
Jenna Rettie, 37, of Dunsford and Joshua Swanton, 33, of Woodville have each been charged with theft under $5000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and failure to comply with undertaking.
The accused parties are scheduled to appear in Lindsay court on May 12.
