
A suspect has been charged following the theft of a cell phone as well as credit and debit cards in Lindsay.
According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, officers took the report on March 17 and arrested a suspect Sunday (March 27).
“During the investigation it was learned that the cards had been used at multiple businesses in Lindsay,” reads a media release.
“Police seized video surveillance of the suspect making purchases using the stolen card at a Kent Street West business.”
Cherry LeClaire, 31, of Lindsay has been charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and two counts of use of credit card.
The accused will appear in Lindsay court on May 5.
