Brock Township lifts state of emergency

Today, March 28, in consultation with the Regional Medical Officer of Health, the Chief Administrative Officer, Regional Emergency Control Group, and in partnership with all of our local municipalities, Regional Chair John Henry lifted the of emergency in Durham Region. The State of Emergency will be effective as of 5:00 p.m.

Statement from Mayor John Grant

“On behalf of the Council of the Township of Brock I am pleased to announce that the State of Emergency in the Region of Durham has been lifted. The past two years have been extremely challenging for residents and business owners in our communities. Support from all levels of government may have softened the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, but it has been felt nonetheless.

We are hopeful that our municipality will rally and respectfully support one another as we continue to move forward.

The Township will continue to follow all provincial and regional health regulations and will share all information to ensure our residents can make informed decisions and continue to access municipal services as efficiently as possible.”
