
A Beaverton resident has been charged with impaired driving after being stopped by police in Lindsay.
According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, officers received a report from a concerned citizen about a possible impaired driver shortly after 5:15 p.m. Tuesday (March 15).
“Police located the vehicle on Kent Street West in Lindsay,” reads a media release.
“During the investigation, the officer observed signs of impairment and the driver was placed under arrest.”
Kenneth O’Connor, 68, has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs and failure of refusal to comply with demand.
The accused is scheduled to appear in Lindsay court on April 15.
