Brock Township welcomes new fire prevention inspector

The Township of Brock Fire Department welcomes Katie Dukelow as the new fire prevention inspector and public educator.

Under the direction of the Fire Chief, she will be responsible to develop, deliver and evaluate public education programs throughout the community and provide fire safety training to various client groups; to complete comprehensive complaint and fire protection surveys, and for the promotion and enforcement of fire safety regulations.

Dukelow joined the Brock Township Fire Department as a suppression firefighter in late 2015, operating out of the Beaverton Fire Station. She obtained her structural firefighter certification through the Texas A & M Engineering Firefighter Recruit Academy in 2014. Katie has also attended the Ontario Fire College for a number of additional training courses.

Through additional training, she received certification as a Public Fire and Life Safety Educator and Public Information Officer among others.

The mother of two children and wife to a supportive husband, Dukelow is looking forward to the challenge and the new opportunity to serve the community.
