Township of Brock stands in solidarity with the people of Ukraine

At their first Council meeting following the initial Russian Invasion of Ukraine, Council held a moment of silence for those victims affected by the aggression toward the Ukraine people.

Today, Mayor Grant further states:

“On behalf of Council and on behalf of our residents, the Township of Brock supports our Federal, Provincial and local Governments, in condemning the aggression and violent acts that Russia is taking upon Ukraine.

Canada prides itself in being a ‘cultural mosaic’, and with approximately 1.3 million Ukrainian decedents, we stand in support of all Canadian/Ukrainian People.  Our multi-culturalism should be celebrated and unite us,  NOT divide us”, says Mayor Grant.

Brock residents who wish to show our support for the people of Ukraine can make a donation, to the Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal through the Canadian Red Cross. The Government of Canada will match all eligible donations—not exceeding $100,000—made by individual Canadians between February 24, and March 18, 2022.
