
A Port Perry resident has been charged with impaired driving following a traffic stop in Kawartha Lakes.
According to the OPP, officers conducted a traffic stop County Road 36 in the former Verulam Township shortly after 9 p.m. on Feb. 19.
“The ensuing investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver,” reads a media release.
Michael McQuade, 62, of Port Perry has been charged with operation while Impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
“The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days, vehicle impounded for seven days, and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on March 17,” reads a media release.
