A Port Perry resident has been charged following a collision on Highway 12.

According to the OPP, officers were called to the two-vehicle collision near Rama Road in Ramara Township around 5:15 p.m. on Feb. 18.

“One driver was transported to hospital with minor injuries, and subsequently charged,” reads a media release.

Leslie Becher, 63, has been charged with operation of a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration over 80 milligrams and operation of a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol.

The accused is scheduled to appear in Orillia court on March 18.
