School buses have been cancelled in Kawartha Lakes Tuesday (Feb. 22).
According to a social media post from the Trillium Lakelands District School Board, the decision was made due to the forecast for freezing rain and the possibility that road conditions would deteriorate throughout the day.
“Schools are closed to students and remote learning will be offered to all students within the region,” the post reads.
“Teachers will be available throughout the day to support continued learning opportunities. Students will find more details in their online classroom. If technology is an issue, parents/guardians should contact their child’s teacher.”
Buses are also cancelled for the ‘North Zone’ of the Simcoe County District School Board but running in both Durham and York.
