Area residents are being notified about a training exercise on Lake Simcoe Tuesday (Feb. 22) that will include the use of pyrotechnics.

According to a social media post from the York Regional Police, marine unit officers will be joined by paramedics and Georgina firefighters for the initiative near Jackson’s Point.

“Emergency services are already on scene and no calls to 911 are needed,” the post reads.
