A Whitby resident is facing more charges following a child pornography investigation that started more than a year ago.

According to the DRPS, investigators were alerted to the upload of illegal images on the Snapchat application by the National Child Exploitation Crime Centre (NCECC) in December of 2020.

“The suspect was active throughout 2020 over multiple online applications including Snapchat, TikTok, Omegle, Likee and KIK Messenger.  Screen names used include: dirtyboy, dirtyboui, Daddy Dirty, Virus Redbeast and Rock Shan Rock (and variations of these screen names),” reads the initial media release from police.
