Oshawa resident charged with impaired following collision in Lindsay

An Oshawa motorist has been charged with impaired driving after allegedly leaving the scene of a collision in Lindsay.

According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, officers were called to a collision on Queen Street around 5 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 9).

“Police located the vehicle involved; witnesses advised that the vehicle driver had fled the area on foot,” reads a media release.

“Police located the male, as a result of an investigation determined he was impaired and placed him under arrest.”

Sean McGrath, 51, has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs as well as one infraction under the Highway Traffic Act.

The accused is scheduled to appear in Lindsay court on March 17.
