Police issue update on search for missing man from Jackson’s Point

Police have issued an update on the search for a missing vulnerable man from Jackson’s Point.

According to the York Regional Police, 52-year-old Nicola Fantini was reported missing after leaving a residence on Lake Drive East around 8 p.m. on Monday (Jan. 17).

Investigators have learned that attended a location in the area of 5800 Yonge Street in Toronto around 4 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 19) but has since left.

“He is familiar with public transportation and is known to frequent Toronto and seek shelters within the city. Fantini has not returned and police have not been able to locate him,” reads a media release from police.

“Investigators and his family are concerned for his well-being and are asking anyone with information to contact police.”

Fantini is described as 5’11” in height, with a weight of 140 pounds and a slender build. He has short, dark hair, with a light complexion and dark beard. He was last seen wearing light-blue hospital pants and a light grey-and-blue sweatshirt with a lightening bolt on the front.
