A Lindsay resident is facing charges following an alleged theft from a vehicle over the weekend.

According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, the complaint had entered a Lindsay Street South business shortly after 1:30 a.m. on Sunday (Jan. 16). Upon returning to the vehicle moments later, they noticed items had been stolen.

“Police searched the area, located and arrest a male who was in possession of the stolen property,” reads a media release.

Mark English, 30, of Lindsay is charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

They are scheduled to appear in Lindsay court on Feb. 24.
