An Uxbridge resident has been charged after allegedly operating a snowmobile without a licence.
According to the DRPS, officers observed two snowmobilers riding near Main Street and Dallas Street in Uxbridge on Jan. 2.
“The officers signalled to the drivers, initiating a traffic stop. One of the drivers sped off, the other driver stopped,” the post reads.
“Investigation revealed the driver had a suspended licence.”
A 29-year-old man from Uxbridge, whose name has not been released, has been charged with drive under suspension. The snowmobile was also impounded, police noted.
Police are reminding residents that you must have a driver’s licence or a motorized snow-vehicle operator’s licence to drive a snowmobile.
