A Scugog resident is facing charges after allegedly driving while under suspension.

According to a social media post from the DRPS, a patrol officer observed a suspicious vehicle in the area of Island Road and Pogdue Road on Dec. 28.

“Prior to the officer initiating a traffic stop, the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed,” the post reads.

“Through investigative work, officers were able to identify the driver.”

A 47-year-old man, whose name has not been released, has been charged with three counts of drive while prohibited, drive while under suspension and possess property obtained by crime.
