A Scarborough motorist is facing impaired driving charges following a collision on Highway 7 near Oakwood on Dec. 31.

According to the OPP, the two-vehicle collision occurred on Highway 7 around 3:30 p.m.

“The investigation determined one of the drivers to be impaired,” reads a media release.

Garry Kwiet, 60, has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

They are scheduled to appear in Lindsay court on Feb. 17.
