Update: The missing senior has been identified.

Police are searching for the family of a vulnerable senior found in Whitby.

According to a social media post from the DRPS, officers found the woman in the area of Brock Street North and Manning Road early Saturday (Jan. 1).

“She was disoriented and was taken to local hospital. At this time we are unable to identify this person. She was wearing a grey Canada sweatshirt and had a blanket and robe. She has a mole on her left cheek under her eye,” the post reads.

At approximately 1:45 p.m., police posted on social media that they had identified the individual and requested her photo be removed from all related posts.
