
Three residents of North York are facing charges following an alleged break-in and theft at a business in Kawartha Lakes.
According to the OPP, officers were called to a business in the former Manvers Township regarding suspects seen removing spools of copper wire around 11:15 p.m. Monday (Dec. 27).
“The call became multi-jurisdictional as the suspects left the scene prior to police arrival,” reads a media release.
“City of Kawartha Lakes OPP, Peterborough OPP and Durham Regional Police worked together to locate the vehicles and arrest the suspects.”
Jozsef Horvath, 36, and Aladar Racz, 40, have each been charged with theft over $5,000; two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000; and break and Enter a place – commit indictable offence.
Richard Sebok, 33, has been charged with with theft over $5,000; two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000; break and Enter a place – commit indictable offence; mischief over $5,000; and possession break-in instruments.
They are scheduled to appear in Lindsay court on Jan. 27, 2021.
