The appearance of tire tracks on Lake Scugog has prompted a warning from police.

According to a social media post from the DRPS, officers spotted tire tracks Tuesday (Dec. 28) night at a boat launch in Scugog Township.

“We want to remind everyone that the lake is not safe and is still open in many places,” the post reads.

“Please stay off the lakes until they have time to properly freeze.”
