More than two dozen cases of COVID-19 reported in Brock leading into holidays

More than two dozen cases of COVID-19 were reported in Brock leading into the holiday season.

According to the Durham Region Health Department’s online tracker, 28 cases were reported in the township from Dec. 17 to 23 (the last day for which data was available). Thirty cases are currently active.

Despite the recent increase in cases, the incidence rate in the municipality is still the lowest.

A total of 253 cases have been reported in the township, which is also the lowest in Durham Region.

Nearly 31,000 cases have been reported across Durham Region since the pandemic began.

More than 2,000 cases are currently active in the region.
