
Police are seeking witnesses after two people attended hospital with injuries following a “shooting incident” in Georgina.
At approximately 2:50 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 11), York Regional Police (YRP) say they were called to Southlake Regional Health Centre for a report of an adult victim who arrived suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot injury.
At 12:30 p.m., police were told a second adult victim attended a hospital also suffering from a gunshot injury.
According to police, both victims allegedly attended a party at a residence in the area of Old Homestead Road and Catering Road.
Police say that is where a shooting occured.
“Investigators are now appealing for any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police to come forward,” reads a release from YRP.
“They are also seeking cell phone video or photographs from the party, video surveillance from the area or anyone that may have captured dashcam video on the roadways.”
