Sebright resident wins $250,000 on scratch ticket

A Sebright resident is celebrating after winning a $250,000 prize on a scratch ticket.

Erin Sanders won the top prize on an Instant 24 Days to Celebrate ticket, essentially the lottery version of an advent calendar), which had been a gift from her mother-in-law.

“This is my first big win,” she shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings.

Sanders, a 29-year-old dental hygienist, said that she woke up to scratch the first day of her ticket to uncover the win.

“I was jumping up and down with joy,” she said.

She called her parents and in-laws immediately.

“My mother-in-law was in disbelief. She is so happy for me. This is a very surreal feeling.”

Sanders said she has no plans for her winnings yet.
