A house fire caused significant damage to a property on Nancy Avenue in Beaverton overnight.
According to Brock Township Deputy Fire Wayne Ward, the fire broke out shortly after midnight Wednesday (Dec. 15).
More than a dozen firefighters attended and brought the blaze under control soon after arrival, he noted.
“All occupants of the home were able to safely escape thanks to a neighbour who alerted them to the fire,” Deputy Chief Ward said.
The garage is a total loss, along with two vintage cars being stored in the garage and a pick-up truck in the driveway. The house also sustained damage.
A cause has not been determined at this time.
“The fire is under investigation this morning,” Chief Ward.
