Haliburton man pronounced dead following collision on Highway 35

A Haliburton man was pronounced dead at the scene of a three-vehicle collision on Highway 35, north of Lindsay, Tuesday (Dec. 14) afternoon.

According to the OPP, the collision occurred just north of Thunder Bridge Road and involved a dump truck and two SUVs.

Robert Clark, 64, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

“Two others were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries,” reads a media release.

“The highway will remain closed for several hours while the OPP Traffic Collision Investigation (TCI) team are on scene documenting. Detours are set up at Thunder Bridge Road and Peniel Road/Kenrei Road.”

Investigators are looking to speak to the driver of a black cube van that was observed at the scene.
