
A Lindsay man is facing charges after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Toronto over the weekend.
According to the Toronto Police Service, officers were called to a collision at Midland Avenue at Broadbent Avenue around 11:30 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 11).
Police say a 69-year-old man was crossing Midland Avenue in a crosswalk when he was struck by a 2019 Chevy Cruz. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police noted.
“The driver fled the scene on foot and was located by police nearby,” reads a media release.
Kevin Palmer, 30, has been charged with dangerous operation of a conveyance causing death, operation of a conveyance causing death while impaired to any degree, leave accident scene/fatality and novice driver- B.A.C above zero.
