A Scugog resident recently played Santa for the DRPS Holiday Food and Toy Drive.

Bruce Stagg donated $2,400 worth of toys to the annual initiative, which he purchased using funds he earned by collecting and returning recyclable cans according to a social media post from police.

“Thank you for your kindness and generosity,” the post reads.

All items collected through the Holiday Food and Toy Drive are distributed to Durham agencies to support local families in need.
