A plow operator is facing impaired driving charges after allegedly throwing snowballs at vehicles and blocking them in a Whitby parking lot.

According to the DRPS, officers were called to the area of Thickson Road and Stellar Drive around 11 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 8) following complaints from motorists.

“Police responded quickly and arrested a male,” reads a social media post from the DRPS.

A 36-year-old from Oshawa, whose name has not been released, has been charged with impaired operation of a conveyance and operate conveyance 80 milligrams or above.

“The tractor was impounded for seven days and the suspect’s licence was suspended for 90 days,” the post reads.

He was released on an undertaking.
