Police are investigating following a fatal collision in Kawartha Lakes Thursday (Dec. 2) afternoon.
According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, officers were called to the area of County Road 36 and Snug Harbour Road around 3 p.m. after a car and dump collided.
“Officers and other emergency responders arrived and determined that the driver of the car had succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene,” reads a media release.
“The identity of the deceased person is not being released at this time.”
The road was closed well into the evening for a police investigation.
