A 15-year-old boy was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being stabbed in Oshawa Wednesday (Dec. 1) afternoon.
According to the DRPS, officers were called to Easton Park near Harmony Road South at Adelaide Avenue East around 12:30 p.m.
“Officers arrived and located a male victim suffering from serious but non-life threatening injuries. He was taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre. The suspect fled on foot,” reads a media release.
As police searched the area, several schools were placed on a hold and secure until a suspect was arrested later in the day.
A 15-year-old boy from Oshawa was charged with aggravated assault and weapons dangerous. He was held for a bail hearing.
The investigation is ongoing, police noted.
