Peterborough motorist charged at RIDE check near Fenelon Falls

A Peterborough resident is facing charges after being stopped at a RIDE check near Fenelon Falls.

According to the OPP, the vehicle was stopped on Highway 35 just after midnight Sunday (Nov. 28).

Police say the driver was transported to the detachment for further testing following a roadside sobriety test.

Jacob Werker, 30, has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs and fail to surrender licence.

They are scheduled to appear in Lindsay court on Dec. 23.

“The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days,” reads a media release.
