A Beaverton couple turned $1 into $100,000 with a recent lottery win.

Alan and Carol Carter of Beaverton matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the Nov. 17 LOTTO 6/49 draw to win the prize.

“We scanned it multiple times to make sure what we were seeing was right,” Carol said  while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up their winnings.

“It was very emotional – I think I cried.”

“This win couldn’t have come at a better time,” Alan added.

“It feels great!”

The pair plan to save their winnings for now.
