Bullet narrowly misses Whitby man

Police are investigating after shots were fired on a residential street in Whitby Monday (Nov. 29) morning.

According to the DRPS, officers were called to the area of Waller Street near Dryden Boulevard for reports of gunshots around 12:15 a.m.

“Officers attended the area and located shell casings,” reads a media release.

“A resident was in his garage at the time of the shooting. A bullet went through the male’s jacket but didn’t strike the male. There was damage to the residence from the gunshots. No injuries were reported.”

It is believed that the suspects fled in a vehicle, police say.
