Fenelon Falls resident charged with impaired in parking lot of OPP detachment

A Fenelon Falls resident has been charged with impaired driving in the parking lot of an OPP detachment.

According to police, officers from Peterborough County detachment observed a vehicle in the parking lot with its hazard lights activated around 9 p.m. on Monday (Nov. 22).

“Witnesses approached officers and advised that the vehicle had struck a curb in the Forensic Identification Services parking lot,” reads a media release.

“Further investigation revealed that the driver was under the influence of drugs.”

Jamie-Lee Young, 27, has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs.

They are scheduled to appear in Peterborough court on Dec. 31.

“The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days,” the media release reads.
