Lindsay resident charged with impaired operation on Highway 7

A Lindsay resident has been charged with impaired operation after police received a traffic complaint about a vehicle on Highway 7 last week.

According ot tthe OPP, officers received the complaint around 4 p.m. on Nov. 16 concerning a vehicle in the former Emily Township.

“Officers conducted a traffic stop and determined the driver to be impaired,” reads a media release.

Jordan Van Mierlo, 35, has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs.

He is scheduled

“The accused’s licence was also suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for 7 days,” the media release reads.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on December 9, 2021.
