One person is dead following a collision on Highway 35, near Highway 7A, on Friday (Nov. 19) night.

According to the OPP, the two-vehicle collision occurred around 7:30 p.m.

“An SUV was traveling south bound on Highway 35, when for unknown reasons, crossed into the northbound lane and stuck a pick-up truck,” reads a media release.

“The driver of the SUV was pronounced deceased at scene. The driver of the pick-up truck was transported to a Toronto area hospital with serious injuries.”

The highway was closed for several hours following the collision.
