Port Perry resident charged with impaired following single-vehicle collision

A Port Perry resident is facing charges following a single-vehicle collision in the Peterborough area Saturday (Nov. 13) night.

According to the OPP, officers were called around 10 p.m. after a vehicle entered the ditch on Chemong Road.

“The uninjured driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol,” reads a media release.

Nicole Barker, 31, has been charged with operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration-80 plus and operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs.

She is scheduled to appear in Peterborough court on Dec. 21.

“The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days,” the media release reads.
